State Your Goals

“‘I want it to make money’ is not enough. ‘I would like my site to generate 1000 unique visits a month, produce 100 new leads a month and create 25 new sales a month’ would be much more useful, even if you don’t hit your targets.”

The important thing about setting goals is making sure they are “smart” – specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. This will ensure you acknowledge where your efforts belong, the resources you should be allocating, and when you can expect to see results.

Here are a few tips on setting goals from motivational speaker and trainer, Zig Ziglar:

1) Write down your goals.

2) Put a date on them.

3) Identify the obstacles.

4) Identify the people / groups you need to work with.
