One of my dentist clients asked me last week, “How do you think Obamacare is going to affect my practice?”
I told him what my dad used to tell me when I was a kid and I asked big questions that really made him think:
“That’s a good question.”
This bought me time to ask around. And my search led me to a flurry of heated blog activity amongst dentists that explore the Affordable Care Act and went even further to discuss consolidated dental care, the ramifications of accepting dental insurance, and a possible loss of autonomy in the field.
Here are three of those online conversations:
Obamacare – How will it affect dentistry? By Dr. Brett Kessler, President-Elect at Colorado Dental Association
How Dentists Lost Dentistry By Dr. Barry Polansky, Dentist at Barry Polansky DMD in Cherry Hill, New Jersey
The Check Stops Here By Dr. Alan Mead, associate dentist at Mead Dental Associates in Saginaw, Michigan
What do you think?
